The Saratoga Water System is located in Scotch Creek on the north shore of Shuswap Lake. 99 properties are currently connected to this system and there are very few vacant lots.

At the request of property owners, this system was taken over by the Regional District in 2003 and considerable upgrades were undertaken, including a new intake, reservoir and treatment system. A SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system was installed in 2010 and provides full remote monitoring capabilities.

Costs of Connection For Properties Outside Water Service Area

Reserve Contribution: 10 times the Parcel Tax (For example $536 = $5,360)

A Public Assent process must also take place prior to a property connecting to the Saratoga Water System in order to include that property into the Water Service Area.

Connection Fee: $2,000 per property

Please note this represents a standard installation that does not require any added engineering or infrastructure costs.
