Please note: Property owners are primarily responsible for conducting their own FIreSmart Assessment using the guides provided.
Should you have physical or other limitations that prevent you from completing your own FireSmart Assessment of your home and property, you can request an onsite assessment to be done by a trained Local FireSmart Representative. Please keep in mind there could be a wait time, as assessments will only be conducted when there are a number of requests in one area. The person conducting the assessments will also not carry out any of the recommended work associated with the assessment. It is the responsibility of private property owners to undertake any desired improvements to their own residences or land.
The trained FireSmart representatives are there to conduct a 45-minute evaluation of the property and make recommendations on how to reduce fire risk.
