The park is now re-opened for public use.

The CSRD thanks you for your patience while the work was completed.

Roy Sharp Community Park has been temporarily closed to the public due to hazardous tree conditions.

The park is located at  5964 Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road, Tappen in Electoral Area C.

CSRD staff have determined that a tree in the park represents an immediate public safety hazard and must be removed.

Public safety at CSRD Parks is our primary concern, therefore, the park is temporarily closed until a qualified tree faller can attend and safely remove the hazard tree.

Staff are currently working to coordinate a contractor to complete the tree removal.

Access to the park has been blocked off at the parking area.

The CSRD is asking people to please respect the park closure and stay out of the area due to the safety risk.

There is no estimate on a re-opening date at this time. More information on the status of the park will be provided as it becomes available.
