What is Development Variance Permit No. 825-35 (DVP825-35)?

The subject property is located at 1131 Pine Grove Road in Scotch Creek of Electoral Area F and is more particularly shown on the location map below.  The subject property is a shared interest property and the applicants would like to build a park model deck on site #53.  The maximum permitted gross floor area for a park model deck is 30 m2 and the proposed park model deck is proposed to have the gross floor area of 48 m2.  As such, the applicants have requested a development variance permit.

A copy of the proposed permit application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, beginning Thursday, October 7, 2021, and ending Thursday, October 21, 2021. (Please note that CSRD office hours open to the public are subject to change depending upon Provincial Health Orders and recommendations.) The documents will also be available to view on the CSRD website starting on Friday, October 15, 2021, at www.csrd.bc.ca/meeting-agendas-and-minutes under the applicable meeting date.

How do I send a written submission about this permit application? 

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board’s consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant. Please clearly write "DVP Submission – DVP825-35" on your submission. Where and when will the permit be considered for issuance?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 8:30 AM on Thursday, October 21, 2021. 

Public attendance is permitted at the meeting subject to special COVID-19 provisions, including a maximum capacity limit in the Boardroom and mandatory mask requirements. Alternatively, the public may join the meeting electronically via Zoom. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about this application at this meeting.
