What is Temporary Use Permit No. 850-05 Renewal (TUP850-05 Renewal)?

Temporary Use Permit (TUP) No. 850-05 was issued on April 17, 2018 for a vacation rental to operate within the existing single family dwelling, for up to 10 guests. The original TUP850-05 expired on April 17, 2021, and the property owners are applying for a renewal of TUP850-05 to continue the vacation rental use on the property for another 3 years.

A copy of the proposed permit application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, beginning Thursday, June 3, 2021 and ending Tuesday, June 15, 2021. (Please note that CSRD office hours open to the public are subject to change depending upon Provincial Health Orders and recommendations.) The documents will also be available to view on the CSRD website starting on Friday, June 11, 2021 at www.csrd.bc.ca/meeting-agendas-and-minutes under the applicable meeting date.

How do I send a written submission about this permit application? 

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board’s consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant. Please clearly write "TUP Submission – TUP850-05 Renewal" on your submission. Where and when will the permit be considered for issuance?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 17, 2021. 

Due to special provisions regarding COVID-19 granted by Provincial Ministerial Order M192, the June 17, 2021 CSRD Board meeting will be taking place through the use of remote communications technology only. No public attendance is permitted at the meeting. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about this application at this meeting.
