What is Development Variance Permit No. 641-43 (DVP641-43)?

The subject properties are located on Ford and Roberge Roads in the Tappen area of Electoral Area C and is more particularly shown on the location map below:

The owner of the subject properties has made application for subdivision to create five 0.8 ha lots along with 2 Remainder parcels of approximately 1.3 ha and 15.1 ha. The CSRD’s Subdivision Servicing Bylaw No. 641 requires that all lots proposed for subdivision which are to be serviced with on-site sewage disposal and water be a minimum of 1 ha in area. The owner is requesting a variance to Bylaw No. 641 to allow five new lots to be created utilizing on-site sewage disposal and on-site water servicing that are 0.8 ha in area.

A copy of the permit application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, beginning Thursday, November 26, 2020 and ending Thursday, December 10, 2020. (Please note that CSRD office hours open to the public are subject to change depending upon Provincial Health Orders and recommendations.) The documents will also be available to view on the CSRD website starting on Friday, December 4, 2020 at under the applicable meeting date. 

How do I send a written submission about this permit application? 

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board’s consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 AM on Thursday, December 10, 2020.

Due to special provisions regarding COVID-19 granted by Provincial Ministerial Order M192, the December 10, 2020 CSRD Board meeting will be taking place through the use of remote communications technology and only a limited number of the public will be able to be present. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about these applications at this meeting.
