The Evacuation Order issued by the CSRD on April 7, 2017 for four properties located at 4459, 4467, 4473 and 4487 Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road has been partially rescinded.
The residents of 4459 and 4487 Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road are now premitted to return to their property, but the properties will REMAIN ON EVACUATION ALERT AND MUST BE PREPARED TO EVACUATE ON SHORT NOTICE SHOULD WEATHER CONDITIONS DETERIORATE OR SITE CONDITIONS WARRANT RE-EVACUATION.
Occupants (owners, tenants and visitors) of 4459 and 4487 Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road should immediately leave their properties if the following conditions are observed:
- perceived increase or a sudden, drastic reduction in stream flow;
- visible increase and sustained turbidity in the stream;
- audible noises that indicate earth movement, rolling rocks, channel material mobilization, or tree roots cracking;
- any other unusual earth movement or stream channel migration
For clarity, the Evacuation Order rescind only applies to 4459 Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road and 4487 Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road. These properties remain under Evacuation Alert.
4467 and 4473 Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road remain on Evacuation Order.
