What is Salmon Valley Land Use Amendment (Walters) Bylaw No. 2560?
Bylaw No. 2560 proposes to amend the designation and zone of the Salmon Valley Land Use Bylaw No. 2500 from R – Rural to RH – Rural Holding, which would apply to Parcel A (DD V44313) of the Northwest ¼ of Section 6, Township 18, Range 10, West of the 6th Meridian, Kamloops Division Yale District, located at 2972 & 3020 Yankee Flats Road, as shown on the following map:
The subject property owner has applied to amend the designation and zone, in order to be able to apply to subdivide the 63.99 ha parcel. The minimum parcel size is 60 ha in the R zone and 8 ha in the proposed RH zone. The property owner’s current subdivision proposal is for a one 8 ha parcel with a remainder parcel of 55.99 ha. The RH zone could permit for the subject property a maximum of seven 8 ha parcels.
