The CSRD is inviting Tenders for the hauling of refuse from refuse transfer stations in the Salmon Arm/Sicamous Wasteshed area to the Salmon Arm Landfill and the hauling of recyclables from Salmon Arm to a processing facility in Kelowna, BC. Tenders must be received by 11 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2014.
In order to help maximize residents’ understanding of the recommended options presented by both the consultant and staff, the CSRD is hosting a series of Open House meetings throughout the region and is encouraging everyone in the community to come and share their thoughts

The Shuswap Emergency Program is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Expose on Sunday June 22 at the Salmon Arm Airport, during the Airport Appreciation Day, hosted by the Shuswap Flying Club. Events include a pancake breakfast, fly-ins, scenic flights, rapattack demo and jaws of life demonstration by the Salmon Arm Rescue Unit. The Expose's focus is on personal and family emergency preparedness including how to protect your home from wildfire by implemetation of firesmart principals.
