The Shuswap Trail Alliance has been retained by the Sicamous-to-Armstrong Rail Corridor Governance Advisory Committee to administer the day-to-day operations as the project moves into the design and planning stages.

The CSRD Recycling Depot in Sicamous will be combined with the services available at the Sicamous Bottle Depot beginning July 2, 2019.
At the Regular meeting of June 20, 2019, CSRD Directors authorized the relocation of the downtown Sicamous Recycling Depot from its existing location at the Parkland Shopping Centre, at 1133 Eagle Pass Way, to the Sicamous Bottle Depot property located at 322 Finlayson Street.

The Sicamous Landfill is back to regular operations following a fire on Saturday, June 1.
CSRD staff are at the landfill today to come up with a plan to manage the woodwaste at the site with a view to preventing future fires.
In an ongoing effort to clean up the increasing spread of non-compliant buoys in the Shuswap, staff from Transport Canada conducted an enforcement effort on Mara Lake on May 22 and 23.
The Sicamous Creek Falls Trailhead and park trail system are now open for public use following the conclusion of a Shuswap Search and Rescue recovery mission.
Shuswap Search and Rescue were called to the area Thursday to assist in locating and recovering the body of a man who died after a fall.

A project to enhance the knowledge of Secwépemc landmarks and culture in the Shuswap is receiving $100,000 from the BC Rural Dividend Program.
This bylaw authorizes the Board to borrow $1,980,000 and spend the money on designated capital projects.
