A new year, and a new look for the Shuswap Emergency Program.
The Shuswap Emergency Program's Executive Committee voted Tuesday to adopt a new logo for the program.
The logo provides the program with a more modern, streamlined look that is also more suitable to today's digital formats.
Update: Friday, January 3, 2020
The road to the Malakwa Transfer Station has now been plowed for vehicle access. The transfer station will be open as regularly scheduled on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10 AM to 2 PM and again on Sunday, January 5 also from 10 AM to 2 PM.
We thank residents for their patience during this unforeseen temporary closure.

Due to extreme levels of snow blocking the road, the Malakwa Transfer Station will be closed on January 2, 2020 until further notice.
The Shuswap Watershed Council (SWC) and Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB), two watershed organizations based in the Interior region of B.C., have sent a letter to the new federal Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, Hon. Bernadette Jordan, to express their ongoing concern about the threat of aquatic invasive Zebra and Quagga mussels and call for more action from the federal government. See more at the link below.
