City of Salmon Arm
At the regular meeting of August 16, 2018, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District Board voted unanimously to issue a letter of support to Okanagan College towards the development of a student residence on the site of the Salmon Arm Campus.
Shuswap Emergency Program is getting ready for higher than normal lake levels on Shuswap and Mara lakes. Residents should prepare early for lake levels similar to 2012 (2012 lake levels were 349.58m, the current lake levels are 348.81m). Sandbags are available throughout the Shuswap; locations of sandbags are available on the CSRD website’s Shuswap Emergency Program page.
The CSRD is inviting quotes for the construction of a concrete lock block bin at the Salmon Arm Landfill site, located at 4290 20th Avenue SE in Salmon Arm, BC.

Sandbags are available in key locations througout the Shuswap area for property owners who want to protect their property from flooding. Property owners are responsible for taking steps and having the necessary equipment to protect their properties from flooding.
