BC Hydro Update
Those who were affected by significant power outages: All perishable foods should be assessed and disposed of immediately upon your return. If your fridge and/or freezer has foul odours it may need to be replaced. Discard anything that has completely thawedMake sure to make a list of the items you’ve had to discard as part of your insurance claim.

North Shuswap

Due to the recommendations of BC Wildfire Service and the RCMP, road access has been deemed unsafe at this time. The CSRD has hired a barge to ship essential supplies to the North Shuswap and has been shipping supplies multiple times a day. There is now a submission form if you wish to be transported via barge, fill out here:
https://lfaccess.csrd.bc.ca/Forms/BargeReservationPermit

*The Seymour Arm forestry road is also still open both ways and has been graded.

Garbage Bins in the Community

The CSRD has been providing garbage bins in the communities for waste,  they are located at Celista Fire Hall, Scotch Creek Market and Anglemont Ross Creek General Store. More details to come regarding the fridge/freezer disposable program.
