Structure Losses

Significant property damage has occurred in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD). Canada Task Force 1 conducted assessment of structural damages, wherever possible, to provide an initial understanding of the condition of homes and properties in the North Shuswap affected by the Bush Creek East Fire (K21633).  To help you understand the status of your properties, we've provided an online search tool, learn more: https://www.csrd.bc.ca/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1683

Highway 1 Reopening

Hwy 1 has reopened but no side roads will be accessible and no stopping will be permitted in this wildfire area. Please monitor https://drivebc.ca/ for latest updates.

If your fridge and/or freezer has foul odours it may need to be replaced. Prescription Deliveries

Those that are out of the Evacuation Order areas and need support with medical prescriptions, please call 250-833-3397.

Due to the recommendations of BC Wildfire Service and the RCMP, road access has been deemed unsafe at this time. The CSRD has hired a barge to ship essential supplies to the North Shuswap and has been shipping supplies multiple times a day. The Seymour Arm forestry road is also still open both ways and has been graded. If you have any questions, please call the EOC at 250-833-3350.
