A fire in the Eagle Bay area has been attacked by BC Wildfire Crews this morning. It is now classified by BCWS as being held. This means it has become a wildfire that is not likely to spread beyond predetermined boundaries under current conditions. The Shuswap Emergency Program thanks the BC Wildfire Service for quickly responding to this fire.

The Shuswap Emergency Program has been made aware of a new fire started southwest of Wild Rose Bay in the Eagle Bay area of Electoral Area C. BC Wildfire Service is aware of the spot-sized fire, and is developing action plans for it.
We thank the residents who spotted the smoke and called in the information to BC Wildfire. More information will be provided as available.
