The Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness Program is designed to provide the information, training and skills necessary for individuals and neighbourhoods to be self-sufficient after a disaster.

The neighborhood Emergency Preparedness Program is designed to teach indivuduals and their families to become personally prepared.  The Program will also teach neighbours how to organize themselves into Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness Teams. 

A Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness Team can be organized in a variety of ways, depending on the skills available and the special needs of the neighbourhood.  The Neighbourhood should be structured to provide flexibility and depth to respond to a variety of circumstances.
