Copperview Haven Waterworks

Copperview Haven is located on Cruikshank Point on the southwest shore of Shuswap Lake, and on the south side of the Trans Canada Highway. Subsequent to a successful public assent process in 2009, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District officially took over the ownership and operation of the Copperview Haven water system on January 1, 2010. The $2,810,000 upgrades (with 100% funding through a Provincial General Strategic Priorities Fund Grant) started in the spring of 2010 and were completed in the summer of 2012. This water system now receives treated water from the recently upgraded Sorrento water system and will undergo a public assent process later in 2012 to formally join the Sorrento water system.
