Parks & Recreation

The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for planning, managing and operating Community Parks in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District. Five of the six Electoral Areas have completed Parks Plans which guide the development of parks over a 20 year planning horizon. The final Parks Plan (for Area B) is currently underway. The CSRD has approximately 30 parks and trails formally established and operating, since the program was established in 2004. At present, there are two employees of the Parks and Recreation Department as identified below.
