North Shuswap Official Community Plan 1 MB

Note: The text of the North Shuswap OCP has been reformated and consolidated with Bylaw 830-3 and 830-7.

 
 Development Permits
 

With the adoption of the North Shuswap Official Community Plan in June 2009, several Development Permit Areas  (DPA) came into effect.  For easy reference, the pages dealing with these DPAs are provided below:



     Riparian Areas Regulation (RAR) DPA

     The RAR DPA applies within 30 m of any watercourse.  For additional information, please review this pamphlet.  



     Shuswap Lake DPA

     The Shuswap Lake DPA applies to certain works within 100 m of Shuswap Lake.



     Foreshore & Water DPA

     The Foreshore & Water DPA is required for all new or replacement docks & buoys.



     Hazardous Lands DPA 1 - Flood & Debris Flow Potential

     The Flood & Debris Flow Potential DPA applies within 100 m of Corning Creek (aka Lee Creek),

     Hudson Creek, Onyx Creek, Ross Creek, Scotch Creek, and Seymour River.




     Hazardous Lands DPA 2 - Steep Slope

     The Steep Slope DPA applies to slopes 30% (17 degrees) or greater.



     Hazardous Lands DPA 3 - Interface Fire

     Please note the exemptions. 



With the adoption of the Electoral Area 'F' Official Community Plan Amendment (CSRD) Bylaw No. 830-7, in October 2012, several additional Development Permit Areas (DPA) came into effect for the Scotch Creek Primary Settlement Area. For easy reference, the pages dealing with these DPAs are provided below:



     Village Center (VC) DPA



     Tourist Commercial (TC) DPA



     Waterfront Commercial (WC) DPA



     Industrial (ID) DPA
