The CSRD now offers a year round residential disposal option for hazardous materials at the Salmon Arm and Revelstoke Landfill sites.
Examples of household hazardous waste include:
- Old fuel
- Pool chemicals
- Any item that may be flammable, corrosive, reactive, or toxic
Items that are not accepted for disposal at either site include:
- Biohazardous waste

Hours of operation for the Salmon Arm site are every Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Hours of operation for the Revelstoke site are every Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The drop off depot replaces CSRD Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up events in Revelstoke and Salmon Arm, which had previously taken place every second year.
The Revelstoke Bottle Depot and Bill's Bottle Depot in Salmon Arm will continue to accept recyclable items such as electronics and paint products with a label free of charge.
