High Stream Flow Advisory Issued for the Southern Interior and Southeastern BC

The BC River Forecast Centre has issued a High Streamflow Advisory for the Shuswap River, Eagle River, Seymour River and surrounding tributaries.  A High Stream Flow Advisory is still in effect for the Salmon River.

Building Inspection Service Open Houses

This new and expanded service will start beginning January 1, 2018. It will require property owners to apply to the CSRD for and receive a building permit prior to beginning construction on their property. Six building inspections will be completed by a CSRD Building Inspector during construction.

Boil Water Notice - Cottonwood Water System

4:00 PM

Water Samples taken from the Cottonwood Water System have indicated an unacceptable level of bacteria.  Interior Health requires a BOIL WATER NOTICE be issued for users of the water system.

The CSRD and Interior Health advise that until further notice, all users of the water system are warned to:

  • boil their water at a rapid boil for at least one minute; or...

Seymour Main Forest Service Road Open

The Ministry of Forests, Land and Natural Resource Operations (MFLNRO) has advised that the Seymour Main Forest Service Road has been repaired and is now open to vehicle traffic.  Motorists are advised that there is no stopping permitted within the slide area and to obey all traffic control signage.

Partial Rescind of Evacuation Order - Robinson Creek Landslide

The Evacuation Order issued by the Columbia Shuswap Regional District on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM has been partially rescinded for eleven properties located in the Robinson Creek area of Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road.
